Since it opened on 1997, Ibiza and Formentera Fairs and Conferences
has housed a great number of exhibitions, some of which have
yearly gone from strength to strength. This is the case with
the Ibiza and Formentera Products Fair, which, as it is about
to be held for the eleventh time, has set itself up as the longest-running
multi-sector fair on the island. The Products Fair is aimed
at consumers and is the perfect shop-window for Pitiusan businesses
to make their products known. The event is held annually. |

Throughout
the year there are also sectoral fairs such as Eivissa Food
Fair, which is held every two years (on odd years) and helps
promote local products such as the island's own food industry,
not to mention food products from the rest of the country
and around the world.
Another fair
that has been extremely well-received since it first started
in May 1998 is Hábitat, where professionals from the
building, decorating and interior design sectors meet to display
the most important advances in what is a boom sector of the
Pitiusan economy. It is held biannually on even years. |

the year are the Motor Show, Dog Show, Wine Festival, Pitiusan
Football Festival, Sports Festival, Skating Festival and Estiu
Jove Concerts, Open-air Cinema, Art-Ibiza, Country Fair and
the I.T., Telecommunications and New Technology Show, along
with the Virtual Campus, Leisure and Culture in the Third Millennium.
In February 2000, the Millennium Citizens Forum was held, organised
by the Spanish United Nations Association and the Island Council
of Ibiza and Formentera. |
